Thank you for your interest in our company and our sustainable building philosophy and techniques.

Our mission and purpose evolved from the first passive solar, energy efficient home which I designed and built with my family. The home served as a prototype for what we are doing today. That first home was also featured on national television during prime time viewing in the U. S. and in Canada during the 1972 Arab Oil Embargo. Since then, our dependence on foreign oil has not decreased, but has gotten more critical with regard to our economy and our national security.

Stitt Energy Systems, Inc. strongly believes each of us should take individual action to reduce our consumption of fossil fuels and that by so doing, we will slow the trend toward global warming, will increase our national security by reducing oil imports, and will benefit our world and succeeding generations. The first step is living responsibly.

We believe that the foundation for any "green building program" is to design and construct a home to be as energy efficient as it can be using materials and resources wisely. This has been our company's business since our founding in 1978. It is not new or a sideline for us. It is what we have always done.
